Some stories stay with us. They linger quietly in the corners of our memory, surfacing every now and then to remind us of who we were, where we come from, and how much stories shape us.
One such story, narrated to me by my mother during my childhood, has lived rent-free in my heart all these years. It is a simple tale — an incident that took place in the small coastal temple town of Udupi, more than fifty years ago, when my mother was just a little girl. The experience belonged to my grandfather, but through her words, it became a part of my world too. And somehow, it found a way to travel across generations, weaving itself into my imagination and eventually, into my writing.
Today, I’m thrilled to share that this very story has made its way into The Fifteen Frames, a beautiful anthology published by Tridev Publishers. This collection brings together fifteen authors, each offering a unique story, a fresh perspective, and a heartfelt voice.

The cover is a work of art in itself, and the stories have been curated with such care and intention. I feel truly honoured to be part of this meaningful collection.
There’s something magical about seeing a story you’ve carried for so long take form on the page, nestled among the works of other passionate writers. I can’t wait for the book to be out in the world and in the hands of readers.
Here’s to stories that travel through time, and to the storytellers who give them a voice.
The Fifteen Frames releases this month — stay tuned!
